Hale has been an industry leader in fine-wood bookcases and storage and display cabinetry for more than a hundred years.
Today Hale employs second-, third- and even fourth-generation woodworkers, cabinetmakers, woodcutters and wood graders. Although much of the present work is done by automated machine tools, all wood selection, joinery, staining and finishing is still done by eye and by hand, by skilled artisans. Wood stains are hand sprayed and hand rubbed between coats, for aesthetic perfection.
Hale uses modern machinery when possible and an artisan's skill when needed. Together, this makes for beautiful products for the lowest cost possible. Hale doesn't make the cheapest, just the best.
